How do I copy and paste emoji?
Type a word in the search bar and tap whichever emoji you want. It copies straight to your clipboard, so you can drop it into iMessage, WhatsApp, Instagram, Slack or your email. There's a little hand button if you want to set a skin tone, and it'll remember that for next time.
How does the text to emoji translator work?
Type out a sentence and watch it turn into emoji. Emoji mode swaps the words that have an obvious match. Cipher goes all the way and turns every letter into an emoji so the message is properly hidden. Only Tapmoji can read it back.
How do I decode an emoji message?
Paste the emoji into the search bar and Tapmoji reads it straight back as text. Anything made with Cipher comes back word for word.
Will the emojis work in other apps?
Yep. Every emoji here is standard Unicode, so it copies and pastes cleanly wherever you send it. The picture might look a little different from one phone or app to the next, but it always means the same thing.
Does Tapmoji save what I type?
No. Tapmoji has no server and no account, so nothing you type is ever sent anywhere or saved by us. It all runs right in your browser. The only things kept are your skin-tone choice and recently used emoji, and those stay on your own device. Our emoji info pages show a small ad from Google, which may use cookies with your consent where the law requires it. The translator and decoder stay ad free.
Is Tapmoji free?
Completely free, with no account and no catch. Tapmoji is a personal side project, mostly an excuse for me to learn how to build and ship a web app, so there's nothing to sell you. Just open it in any browser on your phone, tablet or computer and start tapping.
