Tapmoji

Privacy

Tapmoji is a free emoji tool with no accounts and no server side storage. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data.

What we don't collect

Nothing you type in the search bar, translator, or decoder is sent to us or stored by us. Translation, ciphers, and decoding all happen inside your browser. Challenge links you create carry the puzzle inside the link itself, we never see or store it.

What stays on your device

A few preferences are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers you between visits: your skin tone choice, recently used emojis, light or dark theme, and the name you optionally enter when sending a challenge. These never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Advertising

Our emoji meaning pages (the pages under /emoji/) show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland you will be asked for consent before any such cookies are used. You can learn how Google uses ad data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and manage your preferences at adssettings.google.com. The homepage, translator, decoder, and challenge game carry no ads.

Analytics

Tapmoji currently uses no analytics. If we ever add any, it will be a cookieless, privacy friendly service that counts visits, never what you type, and this page will be updated first.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with an updated date.
